I have been a stay at home mom for about twelve and a half years since I had my first child. I have two kids—Kelsey 12 and Dylan 9—so my time is spent managing every aspect of a busy household. I have overcome some serious health issues in the past which caused me to learn a lot about health, nutrition and toxin reduction—leading me to get an education in nutrition.
We have been members at Ridgewood for several years and we enjoy spending a large part of our summers there—swimming and seeing friends. I’ve watched my kids grow and learn to swim at Ridgewood and we have lots of fond memories of summer fun there.
Before having kids, I was a Mortgage Banker with one of the large banks. I was in the mortgage industry for over ten years—always involved with loan origination—both retail and wholesale. I have had underwriting authority for my own loans up to $1,000,000 and I always had to pre-underwrite my loans prior to submission—that involved pre-approval, structuring the loan properly, and documenting everything. I was an expert in closing very difficult loans—I could think outside the box in order to make challenges into advantages.
I feel that my prior experience in business and finance, problem solving, dealing with and managing the expectations and desires of many different people, as well as my experience as a stay at home mom makes me a well-rounded and ideal candidate for a board position at Ridgewood. I would enjoy the opportunity to help make Ridgewood an even better place to spend summer!
